In Karachi the Sindh Assembly Friday adopted a joint resolution denouncing controversial speeches of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.



The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) members of the provincial assembly also signed thsettlementon.
The resolution was jointly deliveredted by PPP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional.


This is the 1st time in history of seven years when the Pakistan people’s party endorsed the anti - Altaf resolution.

In Karachi Major General Bilal Akbar, Director General (DG) Sindh Rangers, Friday said Lyari would soon be a gang-free region of the metropolitan city as the gangland Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla got killed in a skirmish with security forces near the Iranian border in Balochistan.



The gang leaders gone and now the criminal gangs attired soon Lyari shall be ganged-free hopefully very soon Inshaa'Allah,” wrote the DG Rangers on the 56 Blogging-site

MQM appeals India to raise voice


The Muttahida Qaumi Movement wrote a letter to Indian High Commissioner seeking support for its missing workers in Pakistan.


According to reports, 12 party workers traveled to Hyderabad from Karachi on July 29 but their families lost contact with them.
The situation prompted the families to protest for their beloved ones, realizing that they have been kidnapped. Later on 8 of them returned home. Meanwhile, MQM emailed a letter to India HC stating that Pakistan security agencies detained 12 of their workers and realized 8, of them four are still in their custody

MQM as appealed as India HC to raise voice further recovery of its 4 workers saying that human rights and constitution of Pakistan is being violated in Karachi...

KARACHI: After nightlong power outage due to a major breakdown, the K-Electric could not completely restore electricity supply to different areas of Karachi till 9am Wednesday, Samaa reported.


According to a K-Electric statement, a 220KV main transmission line tripped at 9.00 PM, which caused the tripping of the Units of Bin Qasim Power Plant.
The tripping plunged the city into darkness...

Martyrs laid to rest as probe into train tragedy begins

LAHORE/MULTAN: ceremonial prayers were offered for those civilians and military officers martyred in Thursday’s train incident in Gujranwala, Samaa rumored.

The military martyrs were set to rest once their ceremonial prayers were offered by an outsized variety of army personnel in garrisons of metropolis, Multan and Gujranwala cities.

Chief of Army employees General Raheel Sharif Thursday attended the ceremonial prayers in Gujranwala encampment areas and later visited the gashed in hospital.

At least seventeen individuals, as well as eleven army personnel, were martyred on Thursday once a special train carrying troopers fell into a canal in Gujranwala district following the partial collapse of a bridge.
