ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is weighing its options before finalising Waqar Younis’s replacement as Head Coach of the national team with the decision not expected before April.

Talking to APP, a PCB official said that former Test bowler Aaqib Javed, who is currently coaching the United Arab Emirates (UAE) team, had approached the board officials during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Dubai and expressed his eagerness to take up the assignment of the national team’s head coach.

“The board has not decided anything on this matter yet as current coach Waqar Younis’s contract will expire in July,” he said.
